• Boat tours among the icebergs (seasonal) – Sail through the lagoon on specially designed amphibious or zodiac boats for a close-up view of towering icebergs. Please note that entry to the Boat tour is NOT included in the tour price.
• Shoreline walks and viewing platforms – Stroll along the edge of the lagoon and admire the icebergs from different perspectives.
• Diamond Beach – Watch icebergs wash ashore on black sand, glistening like diamonds in the sunlight.
• Wildlife spotting – Seals are frequently seen resting on the ice or swimming in the lagoon; various seabirds soar above.
• Photography – Capture the magical contrasts of blue ice against black sand and reflective water surfaces.
• Nearby trails and hikes – Short walks in Vatnajökull National Park offer panoramic views of the lagoon, glaciers, and surrounding mountains.

• The lagoon is open year-round, but boat tours are available mainly in the summer months (May–September).
• Weather can change rapidly, dress in warm layers and waterproof clothing.
• Sturdy walking shoes are recommended for walking along icy or uneven terrain.
• Allocate 1–3 hours for a full visit, depending on whether you take a boat tour or explore Diamond Beach.
